What the decision said
This is the Yokogawa Taiwan wage and employment case. Not every worker had the same result. The judgment says the company dismissed Wang Nian-hua on 5 September 2017 under Labor Standards Act §12(1)(4), past the thirty-day period in §12(2), so that dismissal was unlawful. Adding a §11(2) termination during the lawsuit was also held not allowed. This note only keeps the thirty-day point. The appeal of another worker, Sun, was held to be without reason. Do not read the whole case as one-sided.

What an employer can sort first
- 1Write the day you became sure, not the day you first heard.
- 2Count from that day to the letter. Past thirty, mark it red. Do not add a new ground.
- 3The article in the letter has to be the path you are actually on. Switching articles at the hearing is not what this judgment supports.
